Biography
Born in 1949 in Leningrad. Graduated from the history department
of LGU (1972, as art historian). Studied at the art and graphics
department of the Herzen LGPI. Graduated from the department
of directing at VGIK (1982, class of S.Gerasimov). In 1971—1972
worked as an artist for Leningrad TV, until 1977 was art director at
«Lenfilm» studio. Since 1982 worked as a director and scriptwriter.
Published two books of scripts. Merited Worker of Arts of the Russian
Federation. People’s Artist of the Russian Federation (2004).
