Plot synopsis
In the Russian city of Samara in 1956 a woman at festivities decides to ask for a dance St. Nicolas – she grabs an icon and suddenly freezes right on the spot. The Soviets which see a threat in anything related to religion are at the heyday of their might, so rumors about the incident can’t remain unnoticed. The authorities start their investigation, trying to learn what had really happened and find a realistic explanation for «the miracle».
