Russian actor of theater and cinema.
Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation (2015).
Born on March 15, 1979; father: employee of the NTI (Technological and Scientific Institute) "Titan".
Graduated from a music school, piano class.
Worked for 4 years at the Taganka Theater where he played various children's roles.
From 1993 to 1997, he played in the rock band "A.S." then he created with friends a new group "Grenki" (The Croutons) which performed successfully in clubs. An album was released. The group broke up in 2004 but reformed in 2009.
In 1996, he entered the Shchukin Theater School. In 1997, he was admitted to the Faculty of Directing of RATI (Russian Institute of Theatre Art, formerly GITIS), which he completed in 2001. He was then accepted into the theater troupe "Atelier of Pyotr Fomenko" (Moscow).
In 2014, Yevgeny Tsyganov began directing theater with the show "Olympia" based on the play by Olga Mukhina on the stage of the theater "Atelier of Pyotr Fomenko". He also played a role and participated as a musician.
First film role in Yuri Grymov's film "The Collector" in 2001.
