Biography
Born in 1940 in Leningrad. In 1961 graduated from the
actor’s department of the Leningrad State Institute of
Theatre, Music and Cinema (class of B.Zon), in 1968 –
from the Directors Courses of TV & Radio Ministry of
the USSR. In 1968-1978 he worked as the director in
the State TV, in 1978-1987 he is the director of the
TV Concern «Ecran», where he staged over 30 TV-plays
and series. People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of the
USSR State Award. Cavalier of the order for «Services
to Motherland» (IV grade).
