Based on the novel by V. Zheleznikov.
A 12-year old, guileless girl Lena was called «scarecrow» by her classmates. When her friend Dima accidentally told the teacher that the boys had been in the cinema instead of classes, Lena took the blame for the betrayal upon herself. Despiteful classmates set up a boycott against Lena. The innocent girl had to leave the town with her grandfather.
