Boris Karadzhev is a director and scriptwriter born in Perm.
He graduated from Perm State University and All-Union State Institute of Cinematography.
He started his documentary career at Perm TV film studio, did lecturing in several educational institutions (Perm State Teachers' Training Institute, Perm State Institute of Culture), worked as a director and script writer for different film studios (Sverdlovsk film studio, Tsentrnauchfilm, etc.).
Along with others he founded creative union “TV Izvestia”.
From 1993 through 2001 he worked as Art Director of "TV-Kultura" of Russian Ministry of Culture.
From 2001 trough 2006 he was an Editor-in-Chief of Russian Central Documentary Film Studio. Since 2002 he has run workshop of documentary filmmaking in VGIK.
As a director, script writer and producer he was involved into creation of more than 50 documentary and TV films including a number of international projects in Finland, the Netherlands, Japan, UK, etc.
