Plot synopsis
Social drama.
A far-away regional administrative centre. In terms of sights, there is only a
monument to the pilot Gastello. The seventeen-year-old idler Gennadi (Genka)
wants to please a sprightly local saleswoman. But he needs money for this
purpose, so he steals the bas-relief of the heroic pilot. The small town loses
Gastello’s bronze face. Genka loses his face. Will he return it?
