Plot synopsis
An old man and his grandson live in the abandoned Siberian village. They are
waiting for the boy’s farther who will hardly come back. A married couple is
bringing up three daughters, who only prevent them from separation. A former
participant of two Caucasian war conflicts tries to adapt himself to peaceful
life. The heroes’ fates are inextricably intertwined. Now and again they have to
make their own choice recalling long forgotten humane feelings and sympathy.
Mercy is above justice.
