Plot synopsis
Vera lives in a ‘communal’ house with her teenage daughter Katia. She dreams of true love with an understanding but reluctant so-called banker. And Katia has little sympathy for her mother's plans. The neighbours make a seemingly model couple, but the young woman's mother surprises her son-in-law, who finds in a neighbour what his wife does not. Other people populate the house, all more or less in search of romantic love, without disturbing the usual order, while strange events are taking place in the town in the early 90s.
