Born in Moscow on March 11, 1961. Graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, specializing in international economics.
In 1989, he co-founded a TV commercial production company with Timur Bekmambetov. He composed music for advertisements, creating hundreds of advertising melodies. In 2000, he was elected an active member of the Russian Academy of Advertising.
In 1999, he collaborated with Ivan Shapovalov to create the music group "t.A.T.u." He composed the music for the songs "Yugoslavia" and "Dis pourquoi."
In 2001, he began producing the music group "Zvery."
