Engineer Igor Chernov, in his forties, discovers one day at the cinema that the life of Belov, the character he sees on the screen, is very similar to his own. By observing himself from the outside, Igor tries to understand and interpret differently the life he has lived and in which the poet and painter he is has not been fulfilled. But will he have the strength to start all over again?
