A movie about the construction of the Aswan Dam in the United Arab Republic. Every day the engineering manager Platonov, the engineer Alik and the worker Nikolai toil shoulder to shoulder with the Arab builders at the site of the dam. The construction brings closer together different people who find true friendship there.
