An agent of the Dnepropetrovsk underground, Lyudmila Zaykovskaya, taking advantage of the favor of German officers, learned about the secret operations of the "Third Reich". In 1942, the Nazis exposed Lyudmila and her comrades, but after the war, the collected data turned out to be against Lyudmila, and her name was tarnished.
After 20 years, relying on erroneous archival data, a young journalist, Alexei Trofimenko, writes an article about Lyudmila's betrayal. But then witnesses are found who claim Zaikovskaya's innocence. Alexey tries to find out the truth and restore the brave woman's glorious name.
