Plot synopsis
1919. Mongolian people are rising against feudal lords oppressing peasants and herdsmen. The uprising is headed by Sukhe, nicknamed Bator for his courage. The fill narrates about the national liberation movement of Mongolian people.

Commentaries
 
In 1924, Urga was renamed Ulan Bator (Red Hero).
Baron von Ungern-Sternberg (1896-1921) became a legendary, romantic hero, even featured in comics such as "The Shadow of the Damned. Ungern Kahn. Mongolia 1921" by Crisse (Ed. Vents d'Ouest/1988), in which Ungern has the features of the actor Klaus Kinski, and "Corto Maltese in Siberia" (1979, the 24th adventure of Hugo Pratt's character).
He is the subject of the novel "Ungern, the Khan of the Steppes" (Ed. Les Syrtes / 2001) by Léonide Youzefovitch.
