Born on February 11, 1978, in Voronovo (Moscow region).
After high school, he entered the Faculty of Human Resources at the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, graduating in 2000.
During his studies, he participated in his university's KVN team (Klub vesselykh nakhodtchivykh: Club of the Merry Men = a very popular comedy television show) and wrote scripts for the Saint Petersburg KVN team.
After university, he completed one year of mandatory military service.
