A portrait film of the famous animated film director Youri Norstein.
The author of the film brings back to life, with the complicity of Youri Norstein himself, the creation of the masterpieces of animated cinema that made the director's worldwide reputation, such as The Little Hedgehog in the Fog, 1975 or The Tale of Tales, 1979. The film also evokes the filmmaker's relationship with Gogol's short story, The Overcoat, whose screen adaptation, begun thirty years ago, has still not been completed.
