Plot synopsis
Province of Mingrelia in the 18th century. Prince Dadiani's valet kills the father and kidnaps the sisters and fiancée of a young peasant, Matsi Khvitia. Matsi joins a band of thieves, led by Omar Margania who is at war with Dadiani. They attack the Prince's castle and free the prisoners. Omar is wounded, Matsi's fiancée heals him. Omar falls in love with her and kidnaps her, delivering Matsi to the Prince's valet; One of the thieves kills Omar and helps Aeka escape. The peasants free Matsi. The two lovers meet again but die under the bullets of Dadiani's valet.
