Sardion and Yagora, two simple peasants from a Georgian village, are great friends. But neither Yagora nor the other villagers suspect that Sardion is a foreign agent. During the civil war Yagora's son Nodar, who now lives abroad, manages to infiltrate as another foreign agent with Sardion's help. Pursued by border guards Nodar finds refuge with his father who is faced with a dilemma: save his son or fulfill his duty as a citizen.
