A satirical comedy about the intervention of bureaucracy in village life. The Station Master spends most of his time in bed reading the adventures of the knight Don Diego. An old lady (Pelagia) is arrested and imprisoned for crossing the railway tracks at a forbidden place, which many travelers regularly do. It will take a lot of effort and a lot of energy to try to obtain the lady's release.
