Plot synopsis
It is the end of the fifties. Sacha and Youlka are childhood friends who have been separated by life: Sacha has gone to study in a big city while Youlka has become a nurse in a local clinic. But Youlka, threatened by a serious illness, goes to the city to get treatment and meets Sacha by chance. They still love each other but Sacha's love gradually gives way to pity. Despite the doctors' recommendations, Youlka gives birth to a baby and promises Sacha that she will live...
