The movie is based on the novels «Fallen stars», «Sashka Lebedev», «Ode to Russian vegetable garden» written by V. Astafev. The heroes met and fell in love with each other in a front-line town. The war went on and there was not place for love. The hero decides to part from his sweetheart forever.
