Apolon Fokin is a cashier of a railway board who keeps stricktly to the working hours and disregards the visitors’ requests. The leader of a sabotage gang, who has managed to be on the board, arranges a robbery of the cashier. Fokin offers resistance and the handbag with the money noticed by nobody is turned out to be under the staircase. The cashier’s wife finds it, and that enables Fokin to misappropriate the money…
