Biography
Vladimir Braun was born in Elisavetgrad (now Kirovograd). From 1915 to 1919 he studied at the kyiv Institute of Commerce. From 1924 he worked as an assistant director to A. Ivanov, then he worked at the Lenfilm studio until 1935, then at various studios in the USSR. Almost all of his films have something to do with the sea.
