Born in the village of Maima in the Altai Republic, grew up in the city of Novosibirsk, lived in the Novosibirsk Akademgorodok for two years. Before cinema, he worked in the field of children's recreation and additional education. His first step towards cinema was a short documentary about modern teenagers.
In 2020, he entered the State Institute of Cinema and Television of St. Petersburg in the department of directing feature films in the workshop of Viktor Evgenievich Vasiliev on a grant for a second higher education.
During his studies, he shot three short films. The full-length diploma project was filmed with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture. The film's producers were Natalia Gorina and Platon Emikh, teachers of the Department of Film and Television Production. The film crew included both the university's diploma students and its graduates.
