After graduating from the Women's Gymnasium, she worked as a clerk in the Moscow railway office, took private acting lessons from the Moscow Art Theater actor and teacher N.O. Massalitinov.
In 1913-1915, she studied at the Moscow Art Theater School.
In 1913-1924, she was an actress at the Moscow Art Theater.
In 1924-1936, — actress of the Moscow Art Theatre II.
In 1945-1951 — actress of the Film Actor's Studio Theatre.
In cinema since 1915, during three years of work in pre-revolutionary cinema she played in thirty films.
Buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in the capital.
