Born on June 27, 1982 in the village of
Naryshkino, Orel Region. He spent his
childhood and youth in Bryansk. In 2001,
he founded the Proba student theatre and
became its artistic director. In 2004, he
graduated from the Bryansk State
University named after I. Petrovsky. In
2016, he made his debut feature film
«Elastico», which won prizes for Best
Cinematography and Best Actor at the
Kinoshock International Film Festival. His
second film «Temporary Difficulties» (2017)
received the Grand Prix at the International
Film Festival in Oldenburg (Germany) in the
section of independent films; the Grand
Prix of the Sol Russian Film Festival in
Torrevieja (Spain), and was recognized as
the best film at the Salento International
Film Festival (Italy) and others. His
subsequent films were also awarded at film festivals.
