Film about Ibrahim Kostoev, a member of one of the Ingush families deported to Kazakhstan in February 1944. Despite all the misfortunes that overwhelmed him, he was able to bounce back. Ibrahim studied well at the Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute and the Chechen-Ingush University; he was able to successfully practice his profession. At the time of the historical events of 1990, he was elected People's Deputy of the Russian Federation. It was then that he was able to fully use his innate talent, that of a defender of rights. Because of his belonging to an illegally persecuted people, Kostoev fought for the passage of a Law on the rehabilitation of "punished peoples" and, as an Ingush, he obtained the creation of the Republic of Ingushetia.
