After his divorce, Oleg, the hero of the film, decided to commit suicide and for this purpose volunteered to go to war. Oleg enthusiastically talks about this life that has become close and understandable to him. Having stepped on a mine, Oleg ends up in the hospital and returns home. But at home, Oleg, disappointed, understands that no one takes him for a hero, on the contrary, he is marginalized by society. So he has only one solution: to return to the combat zone.
