This film is dedicated to the modern world, which increasingly forgets the importance of the Byzantine civilization, which played a great role in the formation of European cultures. The authors set themselves the task of helping the viewer understand the spiritual power of Byzantium. The invisible presence of this power can still be felt in the capital of the first Christian state, Constantinople.
In addition, the authors raise a series of other questions before the viewers. Does Orthodoxy have a future in the modern world? Can Russia repeat the fate of Byzantium, of which it is the spiritual heir?
The film was shot in Turkey, Russia, Syria and Serbia.
