Plot synopsis

In the Bakulev Research Center of Cardiac Surgery in Moscow, an artificial heart was implanted for the first time in a child. A five-year-old boy named Linar was left alone after the operation with the huge machine on wheels. From then on, the pump was the one that circulated the child's blood. There was some time to wait for a donor. Linar remained alone in the children's ward of the center, his mother coming to see him only very rarely from Bashkiria.
