Adaptation to the contemporary world of Gogol's short story Viï
Summary of the short story:
A young seminarian, Thomas, and two of his friends, are going to spend their holidays on a farm to earn money. The mistress of the house, who is a witch, when surprised, seizes Thomas and drags him into the air. Thomas beats her to death, but the witch turns out to be a young girl who demands, before taking her last breath, that Thomas, for three nights, watches over her coffin in the church. These are three nights of terror that end with the appearance of Viï, the king of the Gnomes flanked by a retinue of vampires and werewolves. For his salvation, Thomas must not turn around...
