Count Darlak, a cruel vampire, returns to his castle after an absence of a century. He has a ferocious appetite and very quickly people begin to disappear and die.
Only one servant of the Count, a man named Adam, remains alive and well. But with the sole desire to become a vampire himself. Adam is the victim of a shipwreck.
In his time, the Count had taken him in, washed up on the seashore, had cared for him and had made him his "daytime representative".
Adam had become a docile instrument in the hands of the evil one, but any instrument can one day become uncontrollable.
