Wars do not end only with the signature of a marshal at the bottom of some document, but when the guns fall silent.
The action of the film takes place in the aftermath of the war, in the Czech Republic. Germany had capitulated, but behind the front of the Soviet Army isolated fascist detachments continue their opposition.
Lieutenant Colonel Voronkov, head of an intelligence unit,
receives the order to neutralize one of these German groups. His own means are insufficient and Voronkov calls on his neighbors: a Cossack unit.
At first glance, the mission seems simple. But the ordinary hunt turns into a deadly fight…
