Biography
January 27, 1885, Vilkobruyka village, Vilkomsky district – 1941 (Leningrad) From 1903 to 1908, he studied at the Moscow Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. From 1904, he worked as a set designer at the Moscow Art Theater, and in film since 1908. He was the art director of the Moscow branch of the Pathé brothers' firm, the art director and director of the Timan and Reinhardt firm, and then of the I. Ermoliev Partnership. He participated in the production of over a hundred films and wrote scripts. From 1937 to 1940, he was a methodologist and editor in the script department of Lenfilm. He died during the siege of Leningrad in the winter of 1941.
