The action was in 1925 in a provincial city in Uzbekistan. The young Djoumagoule has just married the Djiguite Touroumbet, but her happiness will be short -lived. His mother -in -law is unpleasant and even nasty. She demands a total submission from her bruil. Same Touroumbet quickly changed and became hard and rude. One day Djoumagoule learns that her husband has relations with counter-revolutionaries. It is the drop of water that overflows the vase and Djoumagoule decides to leave. She soon became president of a local women's committee and built a new life. Tourombet, recognizing his mistakes, decides to fight counter-revolutionaries but he will succumb to a bullet and Djoumagoule mourns her husband.
