Leipzig, 1747. The public's and the powerful's favorite Handel invites Bach, the cantor of St. Thomas's Church and the father of twenty children, who has just been accepted into the Society of Musical Sciences, to dinner at the hotel. The aggressive mood of the first minutes of this meeting develops into mutual understanding between two aging and blinding composers - wise, lonely and equally unhappy.
