MARIA BAYEVA — screenwriter and director. Born in Nadym (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia). From an early age, she participated in theater productions and is a laureate of poetry competitions. In 2017, she studied in Valencia, Spain, on the "History of Spain" course at the ADOS Academy. Since 2018, she has been working and developing her own projects in various cities across Russia. She is the author of the novel "Parts of the World in the City of Decorta" (2019). In 2019, she entered the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television as a playwright. Before joining the Alexander Foundation for the Support of Culture, Art, and Cinema, she worked at Neymaxx Multimedia since 2021, as well as at the LenDoc and Panda Project film studios, as a screenwriter and editor. She was nominated for the international Piter-Kit competition for her screenplay "I Wanted More Than I Tried." She founded the NIELITNIMASS lecture festival.
