Mischievous Fedya, who lost his parents at an early age, moves from an orphanage to live with his uncle, one of the local authorities. While skipping classes for the forest, Fedya meets a girl named Serafima, who reveals to him the story of St. Seraphim of Sarov and the secret of his monastery's holy sites. Shmelev, the boy's uncle, is determined to destroy the holy sites. Thanks to love, friendship, and the power of faith, the brave boys manage to defend and protect the memory of the great saint's monastery.
