Based on Chekhov's short story of the same name.
After a night of gout and a migraine, bank employee Kistunov, lying in bed, begins receiving petitioners and clients. The first customer complains to him about the treatment of her husband—he was fired while he was ill and had his salary deducted. She demands her husband's reinstatement, even though he didn't work at the bank.
