Sasha Rodionov, a cunning Moscow drug dealer, owes money to a dangerous thug nicknamed the Beekeeper. The latter doesn't forgive delays and treats debtors harshly. This is why Sasha and his family flee to Dagestan under the witness protection program. But his wife and children are convinced this is just another vacation, and Sasha is now forced to pass off a dilapidated mountain village barn as a chic eco-hotel. However, the hotel's popularity betrays Rodionov's location to his enemies.
