Plot synopsis

The events of 1917, so important for Russia and the whole world, will be considered in two series. The first series covers the time period from the beginning of the February Revolution until Lenin's arrival in Petrograd.
Nikolay Svanidze analyzes the causes of the revolution and the character of the Provisional Government that came to power. Special attention is paid to the personality of Alexander Kerensky.
The film features Academician Aleksandr Nikolayevich Yakovlev, Director of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Nikolayevich Sakharov and Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Sergei Stepashin.
Brief historical background:
Kerensky, Aleksandr Fyodorovich (1881-1970) - politician and statesman, talented lawyer. Leader of the Trudoviks faction in the 4th State Duma. Freemason. From March 1917 - Socialist Revolutionary. In the Provisional Government: Minister of Justice (March - May), Minister of War and Navy (May - September), from July 8 - Minister-Chairman, from August 30 - Supreme Commander-in-Chief. After October 1917 - organizer (together with General P.N. Krasnov) of the anti-Bolshevik uprising of October 26-31.
