The famous film by Parajanov "Sayat-Nova" was distorted by the Soviet censors and received the title "The Color of Pomegranates". The negative was cut up, love and erotic scenes were removed, and the movement of a very coherent plot was reworked and confused. After 40 years, several episodes cut by the censors were mysteriously found in one of the dark basements of the Armenfilm studio.
Levon Grigoryan, who worked with Parajanov as an assistant on this film, restored the video version of the original film and told the fascinating story of his tragic fate.
