Blogger Maxim Polyakov was delighted when he heard these words from the head of the expedition of the Russian Geographical Society. They approved his application for a trip to Chukotka. The expedition went to the abandoned northern village of Tanyurer. During the Great Patriotic War, there was a large airfield there, where the military equipment of the allies arrived. Now only a meteorologist with a dog lives there. All around are abandoned and broken military vehicles and planes. Before the trip, Maxim imagined the endless untouched tundra, anticipated peace and quiet. What did he actually see?
