The film, based on Tolstoy's diary and photographs, immerses the viewer in Tolstoy's special, borderless dialogue with himself and the world, which, as he believed, did not end with death. The film takes the viewer “inside Tolstoy,” where he finds himself alone with his thoughts, open to the magical feeling of life. For the first time, archival stereo photographs are integrated into the film itself, shot in 3D.
