Plot synopsis

The film is dedicated to the fate of children evacuated from besieged Leningrad. In kolkhozes orphanages were created in which hundreds of orphans were brought up. No film so far has touched on the subject of how children lived in these institutions. Fewer and fewer witnesses of these events remain, and it is only through them that we can know the truth.
