Plot synopsis

"Kino 3.0" is an attempt to take a comprehensive look at the history of the country and its cinema the narrative is built in chronological order: from 1992, when the first film was released, where the imprint read "Russia" instead of "USSR", to the present day.
Do we remember what was going on in cinemas while the White House was stormed in Moscow? How was the premiere of the film "Night Watch", which was released in the year of a record number of terrorist attacks in Russia? What cinema did we go to with foreign fans in the year of the World Cup in Russia? What was going on in the world when Balabanov's last film was released? And how did it happen that it was his films that returned to re-release in 2022?
