A woman with a camera enters an abandoned building in Saint Petersburg. There she meets two homeless people. The oldest, Valéra, is seriously ill and says he could die at any time. The youngest falls in love with the woman and joins her at her home in Moscow. This unusual love trio becomes the starting point for a documentary which studies the notion of family and the limits of social classes.
