The Great Patriotic War. During a failed tank breakthrough, Captain Farhad Abbasov is captured. German General Hoffman decided to experiment: under artillery fire, Farhad masterfully leads the T-34 between explosions, breaking through the defense line alone. Hoffman admires the courage and skill of Farhad, but, having not obtained the necessary information from him, orders him to be shot.
