Plot synopsis
An expressionist documentary film made at the turn of two eras, it captures the last days of the Soviet empire through a gallery of female characters. This unique historical documentary about the Moscow underground, the sexual revolution in the USSR and contemporary art can be seen as a symbolic journey to meet the Russian soul. The characters in the film have transgressed a sexual taboo and freed themselves from the violent and ugly world.
