Plot synopsis
The "Albatros" film studio was founded in 1920 by Russian émigré filmmakers who had left Russia after the 1917 revolution.
From 1920 to 1929, the "Albatros" studio and Russian filmmakers literally revolutionized French cinema by bringing their own specificity. The phenomenal success of the "Albatros" studio's films gave a second life to French cinema, which was in crisis at the time, by propelling it to the world's top ranks in competition with Hollywood. At the head of this small studio, founded one evening in February 1920 in Montreuil, were two Russian producers: Joseph Ermoliev and Alexandre Kamenka.
